gettingoutalive: (The last moment.)
Aeons before the planet Earth was a pair of specks of dust floating adrift in the cosmos, a mighty race ruled the stars! Their name? Unknown! Their origin? Unknown! Their goals? Unknown! Their power? Absolute! Advanced beyond imagination, their species indisputably reigned without rivals. Without concern for all other races, they conducted grand experiments on a scale beyond comprehension. So it was for billions of years with no challenge until a rebel was born!

Okay so purple prose intro over.

Said rebel was a member of the enormously advanced and unnamed species of aliens that treated the universe as their personal laboratories, free to perform any experiment they pleased with only three restrictions that were adhered to with the strictest of applications.

1) No member of the species nor the society of the species may be harmed by the results of experiments.
2) Any member of the species that is altered to differ from the species will no longer be considered a member of the species. Any subjects that were once members of the species will be immediately destroyed.
3) No experiments will use any member or members of the species as research material.

The rebel, who will henceforth be referred to as The Rebel, came to the decision that their race was unhealthy for the universe and themselves. A judge must be created, to gather the life in the universe and find those who should exist in a self-sustainable reality. They broke all three rules, reproducing and secretly experimenting on an undeveloped offspring, in the location that would one day be Earth. The offspring was made into an entity that had the power to destroy and recreate life as the species knew it. The exact plan of The Rebel was never discovered. Before the offspring could be awakened, others of the species uncovered the plot and killed The Rebel. Unable to risk awakening the offspring it was left in perfect stasis on the lifeless planet, watched over by a diligent computer satellite that eventually formed the moon. A single cell from the offspring was released into the atmosphere unnoticed, in time becoming the forefather of all life on Earth.

Moving ahead billions of years, the resilient nature of the offspring's biology caused a great deal of influence to cause large differences between the history of our Earth and this. A sprawling world filled with extra-normal entities and locations that defy our understanding of physics. In one country of this chaotic and illogical world a man named Reselville Sun discovered a common link in the make-up of all life, despite the fact that several genetic systems aside from DNA shared the planet, and postulated a single complete life form was an ancestor of everything on Earth. His theory attracted the attention of a secret society that had visited the moon and knew the truth of Earth, beginning a conspiracy to recreate the original life form using data gathered from as many variant species as possible.

It was decided that one billion attempts would be made to reproduce the original, a project that spanned over twenty thousand years. None of the creations ever survived, but the original goal remained. One from the final attempt, a viable creation survived to adulthood. No. 999999999, later dubbed Killerman. Speculation later arose as to if it survived due to the skill of Endele Sun, descendent of Reselville, or if it was because of the unrelated unearthing of the original life form. The Starborn Society used No. 999999999 as a solider for the genocide and conquering of various countries, building a power base for their ultimate goal of seizing all of Earth's resources for the purpose of escaping Earth. The codename Killerman was given for his astounding combative ability and his most prominent ability. Whenever it was killed, it would rise again almost immediately, its killer dropping stone dead instantly.

Although intelligent, Killerman had decided that the enormous amount of questions that surrounded its existence were simply too great to ever be answered and has effectively given up on thinking such complicated thoughts. Instead he prefers to follow his orders on the basis that they are as good a purpose in life as any other, unable to decide between right and wrong when there are so man divergent paths. When the original life form is awakened Killerman expresses its first truly independent wish to meet it and explains that it 'feels like it should be appropriate.'
